After 3 weeks of searching for a SuB

HSU is introducing a new line of subwoofers, the MK3. The VTF2 MK3 seems to be within your budget, and will probobly be better than the STF3. I am not allowed to post links, just go to the HSU website, forum, general discussion and news, and the thread titled: A New Era for Hsu Research!!!

Looking for home sub equivalent to my RE XXX 15" in my car...

It sounds to me like you want to build your own box, and make your own sub, if thats the case this should probably be moved into the DIY section. It all depends on your budget, but here are some companies that sell big drivers: http://www.ascendantaudio.com/...

BIC H100 replacement driver and amp

I don't have the sub anymore, UPS took it as part of the damage claim, and returned it to the sender. I choose to get the Elemental Designs A2-300, looks like a great value at $270 shipped. Here is the link to their subwoofers: http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/index.php?cPath=2_41

    resolution comparison video

I have been trying to find a video that compares different resolutions 480, 720, and 1080. I know that this would be a huge file but I would still like to see the difference on my monitor. The area I live at does not have any hi tech stores so I have not been able to see any decent hi def videos...

Looking for for good speakers and sub under $500

I am in a similar situation as you. With the research I have done so far I have decided to use the Insignia 6.5" speakers from best buy. These seem to be the best value in cheap bookshelf speakers by far at around $50 a pair. For the sub I have been looking at the Athena 4000 you mentioned, as...

newbie -- looking for a good subwoofer fit

If you can stretch your budget a little the svs pb10 would work very well, it will go down a lot lower the the Yamaha. Search for this sub on the forum and you will see how many people like it. Try looking at the b-stock page on the svs web site for good deals...
