He means the wall is black around the screen, not the screen itself. A black screen does not work.

So I'm going to shuck a buck either way I go. Just thought there would be less audio problems at that length with sub par cables than with the video cables.

This is my current train of thought. These high end video cables such as DVI to DVI in 25' or longer lengths are'nt cheap. I'm thinking I'll buy a 25' audio cable and a 3' video cable and place my DVD player next to the projector. Will I get a better signal transfer by doing this or not?

To be honest with you I would love to have a crt but the WAF is a big NOWAY. Atleast until I have a dedicated room. The only reason I'm going digital is the ability to remove the system when not in use. I will be 16ft from the screen and am looking to do between 96" and 100" for diagonal size...
