Are you sure the commentary is definitely not on the Anchor Bay edition. I have the old anchor bay region 2 edition (one disc). There is no mention of the commentary anywhere on the packaging but is on there! If you have a multi region player you can pick it up for less than a fiver

I was just thinking that Warner may be tempted to piece together a full version of the Donner cut for piracy reasons. Surely if they present the deleted scenes as supplements the internet would be flooded with 'fan reconstructions' within a few days?

It looks like the region 2 release is the first and fourth discs of the boxset. With 2 & 3 already out as special editions in the UK i'm guessing we wont see the boxset. I think the discs of 2 & 3 in the UK were not by MGM so you probably wont be getting the special features on those discs in...

Theres more details on the HMV site now. It confirms the extra footage on Reloaded is from the game. Also the commentaries appear to be by the actors and members of the crew. No mention of the Wachowskis on there.

The documentary on the R2 Martin is about 20 minutes long, and is in german with subtitles. Despite that it has a few interesting things to say, but its not worth picking the disc up for. Also Romero speaking in English, with a German translator speaking over the top, with english subtitles...

I'm probably one of the few people who still collects laserdiscs and pick up quite a few from ebay now theyre a couple of pounds each. Nine times out of ten these days the postage comes to more than the disc.
