amazing - i have a pair of genesis sitting in my closet. i always liked them. i thought they were a very accurate set of speakers for the money. i wanted to go to bookshelf speakers, thats why i don't use them now. i had to have the foam surrounds replaced a few times but was never able to kill...
'preciate the info. saving up for a better sub doesn't work for me. i have other things i would rather spend $ on. i realize that may not sit well with some people, but that is what is. i saw a refurbished jbl sub for under 200. anybody have expierence with them?
1. 17x13.5x8 2. 70/30 3. loud i'm using jbl e30's/e20's and an n-center. yammie rx-640. house is an open design so the room is challenging as far as speaker placement goes.
looking for under $200 or so. yeah, i know more money would help, but thats what i can justify. (the boat needs work and that ain't cheap.) i've got a sony(free)that is 50w. i just keep realizing how muddy & boomy it is. any leads would be welcome. thanks
any ideas for cooling my new receiver? i looked at rat shack for fans. any other place? i drilled 3 3.5" holes in the side of the stand to get more air flow, but the receiver doesn't have alot of room. after a new receiver and 4 new speakers the budget won't allow new furniture thats more...
i guess i'm real big on using the correct splitter for the application. i mean only activate the outlets that are in use. an example would be a home prewired for 10 outlets. if you only have 4 tv's use a 4-way, there's no reason to fire up the rest. the more ports on a splitter the less signal...
why is there a 3-way? you stated you are only using two of the ports. put a 2-way in place of the 3. a 2-way loses 3.5 dbmv per port. you can get a 1 ghz splitter at wally world or one of the big box home improvement stores. you would pick up 4.5 dbmv of signal just by changing.
wow a question i have knowledge of. ingress can be caused by a multitude of problems. loose connectors, poorly attached connectors, damaged cable, unterminated splitter ports (why u would have this situation puzzles me), cheap cable (lack of shielding - i.e. typical of cables that come boxed...
