I just received my 3803 a couple of weeks ago and I have no problems with the conversion. As a matter of fact, I have the same exact set-up as you; DVD hook-up via Component and my Time Warner Digital Cable Box via S-Video. Did you double check the video set-up menu? And is it possible that the...
I just bought a Denon 3803 and I have the K-5's(LCR)/K-4's(surrounds) with a Velodyne F-1500 sub and it sounds great. I like the K-7's too and as a matter of fact, I may upgrade my K-5's to the K-7's and move 2 of the K-5's to the rear for Rear Surrounds.
I just called 6th Ave to order a Denon receiver and asked if they were substituting the 3803 for the 3802. The Phone Rep said that they were. My new 3803 will be delivered 11/12. $648.06 total. Don't hesitate to ask.
Anyone know if the internal/adjustable crossover in the Velodyne F-1500 can be defeated or eliminated. It's so old it does not have the "sub-direct" feature that many new subs have. I'm pretty handy with solder, so I'm not opposed to opening up the amp section.
It's true, I just bought a new Denon 3803 from 6th Ave and the total with shipping is $648.06. Simply amazing. I was shopping my local high-end dealer and they would not come off MSRP of $1199.00. Now I have to buy 2 more speakers!
Does anyone know if the Marantz 9200/9300 THX receivers have adjustable crossovers, like the Denon, Pioneer ,ect. I downloaded the both Marartz manuals and neither shows any high-pass/low-pass crossovers except the THX 80Hz. Thanks in advance Greg
I just purchased M&K "K" Series and I think they sound great. I did not use their sub, I have an older Velodyne, but they still blend very well. Here's a link: mksound.com They have a couple of different colors as well. Good luck
