Thanks for the replies! Those AR pins look like they will do just fine.

I was looking at using the Radio Shack gold pin connectors (2xx-309 and 2xx-320). They seem kind of bulky to me. I was wondering if shorting is a problem if the connectors touch. They don't appear to have any kind of insulating jacket on them. Michael.
