I've keep reading more and more about this topic and now I'm completely confused. Final question on this topic...Is it true the Mitsubishi WS-65311 does not accept a 720p input? However, most DVD players out there only output 420p right? Is this going to cause more problems in the future for me...

Okay, thanks Albert for the reply. That makes much more sense! As to the extent of the current games out there, I believe the majority of them are 480p for now. For the few 720p games in the future, I guess I will have to work with the downgraded picture. Thanks again for the advice.
