I am not an expert so heres what I was able to find. My equipment to look at the picture quality is listed but to get the Mbps rate of each disc I used a Pioneer player which is the only player I have that displays this information. (To be honest I am not even sure if this is what people go on)...

I just got the Gladiator T2 Superbit and depressingly it does not have the DTS-ES Discrete mix - only registers as matrix on my Denon AV1SR. Not sure about any picture quality differences yet. Best Regards Trevor

Hi, I have the Arcam DV88 Player which is PAL and NTSC progressive enabled. I run this through a Denon AVC1SE (Upgrade amp) and out to a Sony VPL-VW10HT projector. My question is if I had the choice which disc would look better through this setup - for example the new Lord of the Rings boxset...

This is what I would have expected - however the complaints I have had are from the guy above me - I have the REL downward facing sub but the sound seems to be worse upstairs. Sound is a strange thing so who knows what is going on - all I know is that he told me his television was moving...

I have just over 4000 DVD's now. Its become a bit of a problem :) The second bedroom is just for storing DVD's. All sorts in the collection - some real crap - and loads of duplicate films (superbit copies, new versions etc...) The only thing I will not buy is the real bad low quality horror...
