    Opinions on Outlaw 770 wanted

I tried a few different options and ended up with the Outlaw. No regrets because the bang for the buck ratio could not be beat based upon my trials.

To Tom & Ron @ SVS

We (and our house) had just recovered from the LOTR DVD premier when along came Blade 2. My wife is not a fan of vampires but the shaking of the utensils in the kitchen was sufficient for her to chance a peek during the opening sequences. Wow! Yep, the twin 16-46CS+s are not her favorite...

Talk about giving your sub a workout !!

RajeeK, Look on the bright side, you can still get the new version in November and put the current version in someone's Christmas stocking or something like that!

Talk about giving your sub a workout !!

I've been holding off on calibrating our speakers until we receive the Outlaw 950. After our first viewing of LOTR using a pair of 16-46CS+s, we began to question the structural integrity of our house! ;) We now know the relative resonant frequency of each window, door, frame, and duct within 20...

Quick and dirty (and sneaky) sub demo material

Mark, I'm just getting caught up on the postings here... Yes, the new 20 amp circuits did take care of a slight groundloop hum that we were experiencing. We are using one circuit for the home theater and the other for all of our computers and printers. I wish that I could run another circuit...

    Acoustic Research Component cables?

James St, I believe that Tech-Flex is the poly mesh tubing that some use in making cables. I've used it extensively in building my own cables and a few for friends. I've heard various claims regarding the benifits of the mesh but we like it purely for the aesthetics.

Swans Divias: are they still the style/price/performance kings?

We just received our 7 Divas on Monday. Although we do not have the refined ears of many, we were thrilled with the sound. I did end up replacing my KEF speakers with no regrets! Don't underestimate the WAF of Divas. My wife much prefers the look of the Divas to others we have seen. She thinks...

Quick and dirty (and sneaky) sub demo material

Mark, I had a similar experience with my wife. She sat down to read the mail as I put on the 13th Warrior -- the first DVD we played. The opening scene definitely was an "experience" and I caught her with a big smile on her face. It helped her get over the fact that pair of 16-46 CS+ are...

Anyone ever built wooden shelves for their metal rack (Middle Atlantic)?

We have oak everywhere in our house so I ordered the oak panels: Link Removed These panels are special order at most of the other popular suppliers mentioned in this forum. I don't have the time right now to build my own panels. I saw these side panels at a friends house and I was impressed...

    I need some affirmation

I've read through several of the threads here in the forum looking for anyone that made the switch from Kef Qs to the Divas. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone that made that switch or at least did a A/B audition. Thanks again!

    I need some affirmation

I finally registered here after a month or two of lurking around. The advice and constructive criticism I've seen in this forum have continued to draw me back here day after day. So here I go, my first time off the bench -- so be gentle! I've recently resolved to develop a hobby to get me out...
