I'm in for sure. My wife on the other hand will be away on a work trip. I wish I could have the film I've been working on done, but it'll only be a very rough version.
I think Armada will be released eventually as a whole season set. G1 and Beast wars were both released as volumes initially. There are enough adults fans of Armada, RID, Beast Machines and the currently running Energon series to warrant complete sets.
I found Panic Room SE at Fred Meyer for 29.99. Not the best deal, but there was a coupon for a free movie from a selected list. Among them were Lawrence of Arabia (1 disc), Taxi Driver (which I chose)and a couple of others.
I could see New Line putting together a boxset that includes the EE with all the extras that are included plus the extra discs from the Theatrical editions making it 15 discs total. Although most of the Theatrical extras are fluffy, some still might enjoy having everything (I know I am).
I read in the June 30 issue of Video Business that a special edition of Breakfast Club is in the works. It doesn't list features or a release date. However this could be the version that's coming out on 9/2. Weird Science and sixteen Candles are not mentioned.
I to work at a video store (independently owned store), in fact that's where I'm at right now. (slow night) I have to let a customer know when they are about to rent a full screen (which unfortunately we have a few) I've converted numorous people, and although my diagrams are not very good...
I suspect Rhino will wait till after S3 of Generation 1 is done before they start releasing season sets of BW. I remember when they relased Heroes that they wouldn't be releasing season sets. So I think it'll be just a matter of time. BW, then Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise, Armada and the...
I'm still here, I've been a little preoccupied with making a film. but now that i'm in post production I can spend some time watching a movie. I would like to bring my wife if that's alright with whoever ends up hosting.
According to dvdfile, Living in Oblivion will be coming on Feb 11th. Hopefully it will have some extras. I know Tom DiCillo does do commentaries. After this, all I need is Johnny Suede and Double Whammy (streeting 12/31) to complete my Dicillo collection. Oh Happy day.
My number one thing I hate the most is menus that reveal to much about the movie. I've put the movie in my player, which means I don't need to see yet another trailer convincing me to see it by showing me all the best parts. I don't watch the movie trailer right before watching the movie, I tend...
Daniel, I don't see Rhino releasing any of the Japanese TF. At least untill they've release all of Beast Wars and Beast Machines and possibly RID. From what I understand Rhino has the rights to all that is the Transformers at least for home video.
Daniel, They could end up shooting themselves in the foot, charging $89.99. Some people won't pay it. Which means they might be discouraged to release the next boxset due to poor sales. I'm thinking about how the x-files set a $149.99 for all the boxsets regardless if it has 6 discs (season...
Daniel, I would assume that with doing half the season and putting it on 4 discs, they'll keep it at the same price as the first season. I'll buy it no matter what.
oF course there's my favorite tagline (not really my favorite but I quote it alot) "It's not human... and it's got an axe" I'll see if anyone can name the movie.
