I currently have 4 Axiom M3ti's and a VP100 along with a SVS 20-39Pc for my 5.1 setup. I am very happy with it. All 4 of the M3's are on stands. The problem we have is we are having a baby. My wife doesn't think a toddler pulling a fairly heavy bookshelf down on him is a good idea. She wants...
I have the Axiom M3's and did not find them bright at all in my office with carpet on the floor and books on the wall, but I did find them bright when I set them up in a room with spanish tile and bare walls. You will need to listen to see if you like the titanium dome tweeter sound. I am very...
I have M3's front and surround with a VP100 and a SVS 20-39 and I am very happy with the setup. For the money I see no better value besides DIY. I would do it over again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone with the same budget. You may want to look into some DIY wall treatments and...
I never had any complaints till sunday. My new neigbors called the police at 8:30 at night. I was watching U571 at -30. When I asked the old neigbors about it they said they didn't have a problem. I am going to write the new people a letter explaining that the police have better things to do, if...
I live in a townhouse without a basement so my HT is in my living room. I am on the end and have my sub (SVS) against an external wall, not the shared wall. I talked to them about it when they moved in and told them to tell me if it was too loud, not one complaint yet. My townhouse is pretty...
The HK has the amp's directly accessible on the back. It comes from the factory with jumpers to run it's 5 channels in, just knock them off and run interconnects from the rotel. It should sound fine.
My doctor has a computer and printer in each examining room that runs some custom software. He takes notes in it and it prints the script and information about your illness right there. He types like 90WPM so he is quick about it.
You connect your cable box to the video and audio in of the tivo, then the audio and video out from tivo to TV. Your tivo controls the cable box with RS232 cable or IR blasters.
OK, let me throw out one option. I think you need to be looking 300 for the reciver and 600 for the speakers. Onkyo SR500 - About 300 shipped most places, you could more than likely get a better deal at CC. JBL NSP1 - 248.88 Shipped from jandr.com JBL PB10 - 299.00 shipped from jandr.com...
Take a look at axiom. www.axiomaudio.com
You would do good with 4 M3Ti's and a VP100 for like 630.00 from www.audioshop.on.ca. Or you could ask about pricing on a M22ti, VP150, M3 set.
I have axioms and continue to be amazed by them. I would recomend you put your fronts on stands.
The amp will see a 3ohm load from 2 6ohm speakers wired in parallel. Not to bad, and the HK does have a good reputation for solid amps. I don't think it will hurt anything as long as you do not turn it up. Make sure it is well ventilated, and check its temp with your hand. If it is very hot turn...
The M60's are rear ported and need some room to breath behind them. IMPO I think a foot and a half from the side and rear walls would be good. I don't think any speaker sounds its best if you shove it very close to the wall.
I have not heard the M80's, but I am worried that they will not image as precisely as the 60. But they are more efficient, which would be good with the 1050. I am scared of the dual tweeter design, I have heard speakers with problems from it. But, This is just a gut feeling, Axiom may not have...
Another vote for the Axiom M3's. Check out www.audioshop.on.ca for better prices on A stock.
I had the axioms and Paradigm Mini-Monitors in my home and decided on the axioms. You can't go wrong with them. For stands the parts express medium mass metal speaker stands are well constructed for...
Is this for your Dad? What price range of reciver are you looking at? I bought the Onkyo 494 for a second system, for 289.00 you can't beat it.
I bought some Axiom M3's for my second system, but liked them so much I ordered more and set my 5.1 system up with them.
You just said the B word. You can get much better performance for the price that Bose. Look at Axiom, the JBL S-Series, and Paradigm. For the sub look at SVS and HSU, plus Adaire. Do a search here on the forum.
A reciver that many people here have been happy with is the Dennon 3802, so you...
Take a look at axiom ( www.axiomaudio.com ). You can get better prices from audioshop ( www.audioshop.on.ca ).
