I sure hope that MGM did not kill the Midnight Movies line. I have not heard a peep anywhere and they are due for another release.

Jason, My Panny 91 has been in use for about 1 1/2 years. Build quality seems fine to me but all these postings of premature breakdown are scaring me also. The build quality seems above average over all the 500$ and under players that I have put through the paces.

I have a 32" Sony Wega non high def and I can see a big difference in video pq between different players in 480i. I have a Panny 91 and plan to get another one to hold me over until I get a high def set.

HBO did a decent sub movie called Hostile Waters. I wish they would release it to DVD.

I own the WB, Goodtimes and Madacy discs. The WB disc wins hands down. I have also seen it in the 5.88 DVD bin at Walmart.

Also check out the Vincent Price and friends boxset. It has the best offering currently for Last Man on Earth.

I own both titles and enjoy them both. Dennis Quaid really acted his ass off and lost allot of weight to portray Doc Holliday. Kasdan took the time to develop the true friend till the end relationship that Wyatt and Doc shared. Something that was skipped in Tombstone. You have to admit though...

Kasdan has stated in interviews that he was not happy with Wyatt Earp. Even Costner even claims that its not a bright spot in his career.

Chucksters method gets you nowhere. To lower the sub-brightness just requires you to increase the picture and brightness again back to calibration level. I would just learn to live with the issue. I have learned to just ignore the Wega flaws and just enjoy the presentation.

I saw Proof shown in 1:85.1 in a theater in Paris back in 92. There is a P/S laserdisc version.

I want to get a region free player with pal to ntsc conversion. The problem is that my TV is a Sony Wega FS line so it only supports 480i. The Philips 963 only does the pal conversion at 480p. The Malata and JVC use the Mediamatics chip that puts out a substandard interlaced output. So am I...

Its better to have the studios put out multiple releases and profit and continue to put out a few classics and obscure titles a year like they are doing now than concentrate on the back catalog and go under.
