I think it sucks they didn't include a DD-EX or DTS-ES soundtrack. Special edition my a$$. This smells of the "Special Edition" Men in Black they brought out when MIB2 came out in theatres. They're just trying to drum up hype for the new movie.

One problem I had was towards the end of DVD 1. When Aragorn stands up to offer Frodo his support in the Fellowship, the dvd just froze. I backed it up a little bit and hit play and it finished out the DVD fine. I have a Pioneer DV-525. I'll have to watch it again to see if it happens again...

I'm sure this has been asked before, but does anyone have an idea why so many movies that are in DD-EX or DTS-ES are not labeled on the packaging as being so?

Hello, I just picked up a Pioneer VSX-811S and I want to set up a rear channel for EX and ES DVD's. I was looking for advice on whether I should go with the a single back surround speaker that get's the full 100Watts or a dual back surround speaker setup that would split the two into 2 50's...

I've noticed #3 on ThomsL's post. I tried the Phantom Menace and it wouldn't do DD-EX unless you put it into Fix mode. I did get Terminator 2 to go into DTS-ES Matrix mode while set to Auto. Freaky. I'd like to know what's up.
