Jeff, I'm still interested in this unit if it is still available. I'm having trouble with my primary email account, so email me at [email protected]. Thanks. Johnny
I agree with everyone else; the EE is horrendous on this title!! I really enjoyed the movie but the PQ leaves alot to be desired. I viewed it on my Nec 6pg crt projector and I could EASILY see haloes around everything. Soundwise, I prefered the DD track over the DTS track. Highly enjoyable movie...
I just finished watching the first half of TT:EE. I must say that it looks absolutely gorgeous on my crt front projector! It is a vast improvement over the theatrical version, which is to be expected because the movie is split over two discs. The added footage really fleshes out the story making...
guys, I have the article scanned but I think it is a bit large. It's about 6mb. I would like to get it down to a smaller size if possible. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I can send it like it is, if the size doesn't bother you. Let me know. Andy, you're right the IB doesn't have the...
I believe you are refering to the the June 1999 issue of S&V. In that issue there was an article by Tom Nousaine called "the subwoofer that shook the world." He built an IB subwoofer in his basement that ported into his theater room. When I first read it, I was really intrigued by the idea...
Sadly, it's happening at more than places like Walmart. It has infiltrated the local video rental store I USED to rent from. About 95% of the new releases that they receive now are pan and scan. Yesterday while talking to one of the owners, she made the remark that she is glad that they FINALLY...
I just received the 595 last week and so far I love it. Did you check to see which digital input the dvd is set to? The problem may be as simple as that.
Bryan, you can sit back and enjoy the purchase that you made. There is NO reason for you to have remorse for picking up the HK525. If it sounds as good as the HK 520 that it replaces ,you WILL BE satisfied for a long time. I wouldn't worry too much about the DTS 96/24 because there is not alot...

Those of you with the H/K do you miss the ability to decode DD EX? I'm currently shopping for a new receiver and I have to say that I am VERY interested in the H/K models. I'm still wavering between the 320 and the 520 with a slight advantage going to the 520 :D
Thanks for the responses. I found late last night that the driver is the old SVS driver and not the improved version. The guy made a simple mistake. After a few email exchanges things became clear. This is a GREAT forum for info and I really have learned alot by visiting it on a daily basis. I'm...
Eric, You are truly a master at what you do and I greatly enjoy looking at your wonderful creations. You have some of the most beautiful work that I have ever seen. I'm inspired by your greatness and I hope to one day approach the standard of craftsmanship that you achieved. Kudos!
Hi guys, I'm getting ready to begin my IB sub project this weekend and what I have is an older SVS woofer and I can get one of their improved 12" drivers. My question is: would it degrade the sound any to use an old SVS driver and the new driver together in an IB sub? I'm thinking that it would...
Chris,
how cruel of you to raise my hopes like that and then to quickly crush them!!! I'm looking for a second SVS driver for my future IB project. Let me know when you are ready to sell.
Johnny
I cast another vote for Metropolis. I bought it mainly because of the glowing reviews that it received here on the forum.I was very impressed by the 5.1 soundtrack to say the least. And it's a pretty good movie as well IF you are into anime.
To my knowledge it is but if I'm incorrect, I'm sure more experienced members will chime in. If you will briefly take a look at the posting guidelines in the Hardware for Sale forum it clearly states that the sale item must have a price listed. I hope this helps. Welcome to the forum. Johnny
