Can you tell us what the test pattern after the American flag is? Its the one with a horizontal and vertical patterns moving from upper right to lower left across the screen.
This is the only pattern my iScan pro failed. I know the lines are supposed to stay solid as they move, but...
Can anyone tell me exactly what the test patterns on this disc are testing? My iScan Pro seems to do OK on all of them except the last one, the one after the America flag. The iScan locks into film mode but the moving horizontal lines flicker and I know they shouldn't.

I too was left out to dry with the DD 5.1 track on the DVDA of "Rumours". I have a 3109 that won't recognize it. Funny thing is, I also use a 3107 that used to read it, but now no longer does!

Thanks for the clarification. So, in your opinion, do you think the newer crop of Sage/Faroudja players would offer any improved performance over the de-interlacing abilities of the RP91? Or, has the RP91 reached a "plateau" performance-wise for progressive scan DVD players?

That Kenwood model sounds like a great piece. I've never considered the Kenwood at top-notch DVD player company, but if they're using the panny mpeg decoder and Faroudja chip, how wrong could I go?

The think I like about the RP91 is the scaling feature and the good video dacs.
Can any owners of the RP91 tell me if they've noticed many interlacing artifacts/jaggies and how often?
Yeah, I now see the obvious dumbness to my initial question, but here's something to clarify:
1) The panasonic model does not have the chroma problem (unlike the Denon 2800 and so many others).
2) Using the RP91 (in interlaced mode) with the iScan Pro would provide good deinterlacing with...
