Center Channel to compliment a pair of Bose fronts

Thanks for the suggestion Jerry (and everyone else). However, if I could manage to talk him into swapping the front speakers, he would definitely be selling the Bose speakers. They are pretty large floor speakers (about 2'x 2'x 3') and would not work very well as rear speakers for size...

Center Channel to compliment a pair of Bose fronts

Center Channel to compliment a pair of Bose fronts

My father currently has a set of Bose speakers he is using for the front - Bose 501 Series IV. These speakers are pretty nice and he doesn't plan on parting with them any time soon. My question is what would be a good center channel to compliment or at least match these speakers? This is...

    Amp needed for subwoofer?

It's not my 'extra' amp or receiver... it's my main receiver. It powers all the speakers in the 5.1 setup I have. The sub is going to be an upgrade from the POS I have now. Will the receiver be able to power the sub as well as the other speakers? I'm unsure about this, but I don't see how...

    Amp needed for subwoofer?

I am currently looking at buying either the SVS 20-39CS, 16-39CS, or a Velodyne CHT-12. I have a Pioneer VSX-D810S receiver (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pi...2,2078,00.html). Will this receiver do a decent job of providing the power to one of these non-amplified subs?? Thanks for your help!
