From over at The Digital Bits:
2/8/06 - LATE UPDATE
We've learned from our industry sources that Buena Vista's planned DVD release of The Muppet Show: Season Two is temporarily on hold. We're not sure what's causing the delay, but it's quite possible that it's simply taking longer to...
I agree, this show needs to be released on DVD as well. I hope Disney listens to the consumer. I believe the season one set has sold very well. Disney needs to release more of these sets than just one a year!
I need to disable the progressive scan of 480P in the 811. If I turned on the 1080i I would see the vertical compression kick in and my image would be smaller with bars on the sides as well. I want an output of 480i.
Yes, I have calibrated the set using Avia with service menu manipulation as well. You say it is not available, that makes it sound like it is a choice through the menu. I have no choice to turn the DRC on or off. For standard def stuff there is no choice but 480p in the menu of the 811.
I have a Sony XBR400 and I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to deactivate the progressive scan output of the DISH 811. The picture looks very blurry on my Sony and I think it is because the 811 doubles the horizontal lines on top of my TV line doubler doing the same thing.
I know I have seen someones theater construction pictures that showed how they built a room within a room. The walls and ceiling of the theater did not touch the surrounding walls or floor joists above. There were some steel brackets that the person used to strengthen the connection between...
I can vouch for proper surge protection. My home took a direct lightning hit 3 summers ago. I have Panamax surge protectors and they worked properly. My upstairs TV did suffer some magnatization due to the lightning comming in the house. The tech brought out a deguassing coil and fixed it on the...
My ceiling is 6'-10" 2 feet on the sides and 4 feet front and back, 7'3" in an 8'X 10' section in the center. Room dimensions are 12' wide by 17' tall. I have a 36" Sony XBR400 with carpet on the walls. Works great for me! I don't think you will have a problem...
I need to shift the display on my Sony XBR400 about 0.25" to the left and 0.25" down. Is there anyone here who can tell me the button push sequence to get into the service mode on this tv. Can you tell me the two variables that shift the display horizontally and vertically? I know all about...
Thanks for taking the time to write this review. I am anxiously awaiting the time when I can get my hands on this one. Currently I am working on my ceiling making preparations for the installation of the PJ.
I need to know of any methods to work around internet filtering here at work :). The proxy server method seems to have been fixed by IS. How are they actually doing this, by blocking specific web addresses? Is there a way to change the web address with respect to how the filter sees it?
Off the cuff, a good size of image for a projector seems to be 100" on the diagonal. For widescreen Ambient light can be a big factor when it comes to contrast. If you can, use drapes to block out all of the light. Otherwise look for a higher lumenen rating with a higher contrast rating to...
Boy I need help here too. I will be rebuilding the EC in about a year in order to incorporate PJ, screen and two tiered seating. Dedicated room, no outside windows, whats a couple of good choices?
Rick, you are really close to WV. You also live really close to one of our members (WV HT Group). Would you be interested in joining our small group? We all originated from here on the forum. If so drop me a line at [email protected]
Yep thats what I am talking about the 2004. I am trying to get the base model SE with no extras but it sounds like I will have to order it. So far my lowest offer by a dealership is 20,750 which is 931 dollars over invoice. It will take me 5 weeks to get the car.
I have got to tell you I do not think there is much there. http://www.cacaponresort.com/ This state park is about all I know of. It is a small town. I would look at the Martinsburg area also if I were you. More wide open rolling country with outlet malls and a little bigger. I have not...
I can input! My room is in my basement and is 12X17. I run 6.1 using dipole surrounds and I like them alot. I do keep seating away from the walls as mentioned earlier. My walls are carpeted so the room is pretty dead.
RG6 coax will work fine. I have somewhere around a 25' RG6 coax cable that I did myself for my SVS. No problems at all, just make sure you get the ends crimped on correctly.
What a great time! Thank you Scooter, Michelle, Greg, Morgan, Ron and Parker for all of the work you did to make this one of the best Scooterpaloozas ever! Thanks to Micheal Lee for that great Infocus projector! Thanks to JVC for that great receiver! The prizes were great! The blow pops...
