Lexicon LX-7 vs Bryston 9B/4B SST

If your looking at the bryston price range. Really consider the Simaudio home theater amp offering. The Titan. At least give it a listen before making your decision, it's good enough to warrant a mandatory listen if your in that price range.

Energy Veritas and Totem same store in GTA?

Totem can be found at American Sound. They don't carry the Energies I believe.... Generally try to listen at a place you'd consider buying, and if you want to deal with Bay Bloor, go in with prices from other stores and ask for similar deals, at least that way you offer them a chance of earning...

    the "NUANCE EXPERIENCE"

In all fairity, the sales attempts are goofy and underhanded but the speakers aren't all that bad. I've got a pair I had "discounted" from 2000 to 800. I also have a pair of Tannoy D700's, a Musical Fidelity A3Cr amp and pre. I tried using them for mains instead of rears once for fun. They don't...

    single CD Player suggestions

Hello, Even though you don't like sony, I still have to suggest that the CE-775 model can still be found in some places, it happens to play SACD's but it's about the best value for that money. Although you might also want to consider the pioneer dvd 656A, I liked it's CD audio better than the...

    Speaker Stands?

Not all tweeters are designed to be put at ear height. Take the Gershman Avante Guarde's for one.

Speakers dat don't get no love ...

I love my Tannoy's wich get little love here in Canada. Other great companies with little press .... TOTEM (Mani-2 SE) Silverline Audio (Sonata) Gershman (Avante Guarde) Theil (3.2) Energy (veritas 2.4's) KEF (20?) Merlin (VSM/TSM) Meadowlark (Heron i) Coincident (Eclipse)...

Line Conditioners, Please help me pick one.

To answer your questions directly 1) Not all line conditioners are designed to protect against surges in power (the audio prism 3 by PSAudio is a conditioner which does not have built in serge protection) 2) I am really not qualified to answer this and would rather not give you advise other...

So for all those copper is copper believers

Excellent point Chu, but out of interest did you then go to hear what the other cables did or just walk out at that point thinking it was all snake-oil?

Shion's method of fine tuning stereo speaker placement

Hello All, Thought I'd share my method of placing speakers. This is pretty vague and general and assumes you've got a pretty good position (start by using the method described on the cardas webpage) and want to add the final touches. Buy, beg or borrow one Miss Saigon CD. Take the first disk...
