Can someone please tell me what the difference is between the Samsung HL-R6178W and the HL-R6168W? I've tried to figure it out but can't find anything. Right now the 68 is on sale for about $1000 less than the 78 and I'm wondering why.

Wow! Great thread! I am going through this dilema now as I just got a Samsung HLR4667W and my Sony DVD player is about 6 years old. I was really confused with the whole progressive and upscaling thing. My big problem is that the TV only has one HDMI input and I've got the HD box connected...

Appreciate all of the feedback. For those that recommend going with a DLP screen, would you spend the extra money to get the HD2+ chipset? I have seen both and can't really tell the difference. I have been told that on action DVD's it may be more noticable.
