I just got this from amazon.it yesterday, It looks and sounds great! One questions, though. The opening credits are windowboxed. Is there a reason for that?

I've been a huge fan of the MOD products from Warner Archive, Sony and MGM, wherein we finally get oft-requested movies that might not have huge sales in the...

Thanks Mike and Ron. Yeah, our chatting on the board morphed into AIM-ing, emails and then (whenever I went into Manhattan) meeting up. As to his absence, Patrick really got involved in journalism and reviewing theatre and that took alot of focus away from the HTF, although we'd still talk...
Hey Everyone- If it wasn't for HTF, I would've never met Patrick almost ten years ago and formed a friendship that grew from a love of film into a full-fledged friendship over the years. He hasn't posted here in a little while, although I'm sure many frequent posters will remember his love...
Awesome news! With Lansbury back on Broadway in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, it probably should've been released a little sooner, but I can't wait (although I'm not believing this until I have it in my grubby little hands come september).

This is a great thread! My all-time favorite is "Do You Hear What I Hear?" by Vanessa Williams My least favorite is the "Christmas Shoes" song. That thing is so treacly it makes my teeth hurt!
I was recently at a performance of "The Road To Mecca" here in DC and was talking about this with my companion. We both the the play was good and well-performed but it didn't deserve the full standing O that the majority of the audience (over 80% from what we could see) gave it.
1.33 Academy is the original ratio I recall seeing this in theaters during the last re-release (1990 or thereabouts) and I distinctly remembered wondering why the aspect ratio was square-shaped and not 1.85:1, thereby filling the screen. Rafael.
