I have no knowledge one way or another but the original mono soundtrack LP album certainly sounds like the original tracks. The reprocessed stereo versions on LP and cd sound atrocious. The Screen Archives as well as the Quartet releases are quite good.

North by Northwest. Has been ‘restored’ and part of the upcoming TCM Film Festival in the spring. I’m sure this showing will be followed by a 4K UHD release.
Yes, as I believe the restoration of a number of years ago was done in 4K . Kino has stated that they didn’t believe there would be a market for such a release.
