So there is no way of matching my Bose fronts? What center would you guys recommened I check out? I still need to buy a spl meter and calibrate my speakers.

What would be a match for my fronts? My problem is that the voice when i watch a movie is so low compared to the action.

You think that i will hear no significant important from what i currently have by buying the Bose? I plan on doing an upgrade in 2 to 3 years of the whole speaker system. This would just be a patch till then. Do you still feel the same way?

I have an Onkyo 601 receiver. Connected with an optical cable to my Onkyo 301 dvd player.

The center channel worked great. But the Left and Right rear don't get sound. I will try another dvd. I will check the settings in the dvd player. So are you saying that i may have a different surround setting that is overlaping the DD or dts?

I ran the THX optimizer that come in the dvd's (Signs. I seem to have a problem when it cycled through the sound test. The sound worked ok while it cycled through the front but it never reached the back speakers. When i use the sound test on my receiver it worked fine. What could be wrong?

Setting is not a good word. Surround Mode is probably better.

Mark what surround setting is your receiver at? I have the same problem that you have with the dialog. I was under the impression that it was my center channel.

I have Bose 301 series 4. And I have to have the volume at 40 or 50. My HT is in my living room / dinning room which is open to the rest of my house. I want to know what speakers people use with this receiver to judge if I should get new speakers.
