Is it worth it to buy the Animal version of a Dyson upright even if you don't have any pets? I live alone and am a bit of a clean freak so was just wondering if the Animal version cleans even better than the non-animal version.
Ah, I see. That makes a lot more sense. Thanks! I still don't like the "reversing time" element in either movie, however. It's just a cheap way of ending things and cheats the audience. It's a deus ex machina of the worst kind, on the same level as Bobby Ewing waking up at the season finale...
I just watched the Donner cut and must say I prefer it to the theatrical version. The only thing I hated was the ending, where Superman reverses time and changes history. This is exactly what he did in Superman I and it feels like a cheap ending. Now, I realize this is how Superman II was...
Great review, Ron. It answered a lot of questions I had about the format. I'm a little disapponted that you went out and bought a new, HDMI TV set so soon, however. Now who's going to represent us poor blokes who are still stuck with analog, component-inputs-only TV sets? ;) But seriouly...
I'm not buying these if they're non-anamorphic. I've written a short and polite letter to Lucasfilms. I suggest we all do the same. Probably won't change Lucas's mind but at least he'll be aware. It's the least we can do.
Will the format war between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD be more like the one that happened between DVD-A and SACD than the one between Beta and VHS? In other words, will both formats fail to catch on and simply end up being niche products for only those who have a lot of disposable income? I have a...
Ron, you have my support in any boycott of the two competing formats until a unified solution is found, and until component inputs in older HDTVs are supported.
Yoda "lost" to Sidious the same way (and, as it turns out, for similar reasons) Obi-Wan "lost" to Darth Vader in ANH: to help out Luke. In ANH, Obi-Wan lets Vader "kill" him so that he can be more powerful and help Luke later on during the Death Star trench scene at the end ("Use the Force...
Yoda is greater than Sidious. Sidous just beat him because Yoda was old and past his prime. It's like when Rocky Marciano KO'd Joe Louis. Does anyone seriously think Marciano would have a chance against the Brown Bomber in his prime?
