The Court Jester was shot in VistaVision and would be on eastman stock as there were no 3 strip VV Cameras. However the 35 mm prints were in 3 strip technicolor.
As a matter of economics Twilight Time relies on Masters from whoever owns a title. So if they or any other company don't have a proper 3D Master ready, it won't be released by them.
I notice that Mill Creek are releasing Spacehunter: Adventure in the Forbidden Zone flat. I guess it's cheap enough at $8.99 on Amazon, but one the other hand, 3D was the only thing it had going for it. Another kick in the teeth for 3D.
It's odd that even the ratio is wrong on their Blu-ray...
While I do watch a good amount of 3D on my two 3D tv sets. And am concerned that no one is currently making 3D capable sets. I have noticed that most projectors support 3D.
Oh and by the way. 3D is VERY Healthy in Japan and other parts of the world. That is way almost every BIG MOVIE has a 3D...
It looks like Olive has announced a flat Blu-ray of MONEY FROM HOME to be released on May 30.
I have seen this film in 3-D many times and it is very nicely staged for depth. It would be unfortunate for Olive Films to only release it flat. The cost of making a 3-D Master is minimal with the help...
Having seen Money From Home several times in 3-D I would never buy a Blu-ray if it released FLAT and I'm certain there are many more like me who are upset that they could do it at a very reasonable price yet won't spend that small amount. And with Jerry's Input yet.
It's 3D or nothing.
Yes its's true both Invaders From Mars & Them were shot flat. But it's also true that they look like they would have been Faaaaaaaaabulous in 3-D. Anyone out there want to make it happen?
