CTRL+ALT+DEL is my favorite comic, on- or off-line. It's mainly geared for video gamers / computer users / college humor, but since that pretty much describes me, I find it hilarious. :emoji_thumbsup:
For Windows, an easy to use scanner is called GFI LANGuard. For Linux, you could use Nessus. Please be careful when using any vulnerability scanner, as there are risks of causing harm to the machines that you scan. Good luck, and I can't stress enough how important it is to get permission...
As far as reading the generic info they gave on the series description page, I don't think it's possible to derive a power rating. They do list the power ratings though, when you select a specific model: Model: T-2.100 Channels: 2 CH Frequency Response: 10Hz ~ 45KHz ±1dB Rated Power: 14.4...
Nero Express, if you click "More" on bottom, then "Configure", then the "Expert Features" tab, the first checkbox is "Do not eject the disc after the burn is complete". Seems odd that Express would have it but ultra wouldn't. You might want to double check. Other than that, not sure what to...
I've got a pair of MB Quart DKC 169 6x9's as my rear deck. I've had em for a few years, and they've been good speakers. When I first got them I ran them off a Denon head unit, and it pushed them without a problem. I put them on a seperate amplifier (~80wpc) soon afterwards, and they sound even...
Todd, I am right there with you on that. This stuff is definitely getting worse. I spent last weekend cleaning up virii, adware, spyware from a coworker's home computer. It was also almost unusable... some piece of malware even went as far as to edit the windows HOSTS file to change DNS...
You might want to get an RCA Y-splitter though, to allow you to plug into both R and L inputs. It will give you a bit of gain. My grandfather had this problem a while ago - his subwoofer's auto turn on would not kick on at low volumes until he put the Ysplitter on. BTW there's a related thread...
 So true. Not one of the better features offered by MS... I believe you are correct with your "neato" assessment, Ted! "Hey, look at the pretty blue screen this active desktop makes!" ;)
I recently installed iTunes for Windows on a friend's computer. Let me tell ya, it was a bit frustrating! Personally I wasn't impressed with the program... many times it would start eating cycles like crazy for no apparent reason (maybe probing USB?), but that's a topic for a different post...
When I heard Dino left, I was a little bit worried about what they would sound like. I'm glad to hear thumbs up from everyone here! I'll be picking this album up at first sight. :)
I've got a refurb H/K AVR-225 that I bought from SoundCity. The unit is in excellent condition. If I was not the one who purchased it, there is no way that I would know that it is refurbished. Everything works perfectly. As others have said, there's no way to guarantee every refurbed product...
If anyone is looking for a cheaper 5.1 speaker setup, but is afraid of getting a HTIB, Crutchfield actually has a decent deal going right now. The Polk RTi38's and 28's have been on closeout for a while, but they are still in stock. During this week, Crutchfield has a deal (supposedly other...
I'm surprised the Klipsch Promedia line hasn't been mentioned... as far as computer speakers go, they are pretty highly regarded. We had them in my apartment last year, and they sounded better than the HTIB across the hall ;) I personally prefer them to the Logitechs, but the Logitechs are...
