If anyone is looking for a cheaper 5.1 speaker setup, but is afraid of getting a HTIB, Crutchfield actually has a decent deal going right now.

The Polk RTi38's and 28's have been on closeout for a while, but they are still in stock. During this week, Crutchfield has a deal (supposedly other stores too) where if you buy $500 of Polk speakers, you get a free PSW-202 subwoofer. You could get:

Fronts: Polk RTi38 6.5" Bookshelf pair - $250
Rears: Polk RTi28 5.25" Bookshelf pair - $200
Center: Polk CSi30 5.25" Center - $150
Sub: Polk PSW-202 10" subwoofer - FREE

Total is $600 (free shipping) for a full 5.1 setup that ain't too shabby! :D

I actually ordered my Polk bookshelf speakers a few months back, but Crutchfield honored the deal for me. :emoji_thumbsup:

I upgraded the center to the CSi40 for another $150. The Polk forums said that the 40 has a little more oomph and is much better for home theater than the CSi30. The CSi40 also has the same drivers as the 38s. These speakers are great and the closeout price make them all that more attractive.

I have an SVS 25-31PCi sub, so the free Polk sub is just gravy. Not even sure if I'll use it in the HT with the SVS or add it to my basement stuff.
