The Avengers: The Emma Peel Collection (1965-1967) – Imprint Television #3 Unboxing

Wow, harsh! (haha) I hardly think having a few unviewable Blus (of movies I already have on DVD) constitutes not having what I want and shooting myself in the foot. More Region B stuff of interest would have to be coming out to get me to buy another player.

The Avengers: The Emma Peel Collection (1965-1967) – Imprint Television #3 Unboxing

Apologies for continuing to bring up the Lionsgate Blu-ray here, but since it'd been awhile and was on the brain, I decided to watch some tonight. I then realized that I have more Avengers on Blu-ray here than I thought. IMDb shows a 16-episode S5, an 8-episode S6, and a S7 whose premiere was...

The Avengers: The Emma Peel Collection (1965-1967) – Imprint Television #3 Unboxing

Thanks for the info. I guess either I'll be content with the S5 Lionsgate Blu-ray and Emma Peel DVD set, or buy the S4 Studiocanal in case I someday stumble upon a region-free player (I have a few movie Blu-rays that I also presently can't watch). If I saw this in front of me in a store, I'd...

The Avengers: The Emma Peel Collection (1965-1967) – Imprint Television #3 Unboxing

I have a S5 The Avengers Blu-ray with both Lionsgate and Studiocanal logos on the back cover. Doesn't look like it, but I'll ask anyway: was there ever a similar S4 released along with this? Reason I ask is that the S5 is region-free (my Sony UBP-X800M2 is picky as all hell, but it plays on...

Shows I Would Buy With Zero Chance Of Release

For something more recent, how about the "bowling-alley lawyer" dramedy Ed, which debuted in 2000, and therefore had no excuse ending up in music-rights hell. Other shows of that era managed to get their DVDs out with music intact. Not sure if enough people would even remember it 20 years down...

Pre-Order A Weekend With LuLu (1961) (Blu-ray) Available for Preorder

A very pleasant surprise. IMO, Shirley Eaton never looked better than she does here. And the movie is actually pretty good. Some of her other films with the same general cast were only worth watching for her. Or maybe I just don't get British comedy of that era... A minor quibble: considering...

Pre-90s catalog on Blu - A comprehensive list

I'll second that! There's been a few Blus that I had no idea were out or being released. For example, his latest update showed Esther Williams' Raw Wind in Eden. I just got a "collector" copy of the DVD, and thought how great this movie would look on Blu. And here it comes... Plus, The...

Cary Grant's Arsenic & Old Lace needs a restoration and UPgrade

That's the DVD I have. I agree with you, and even though Lane is on this cover, I still think most of the other covers you posted are better.

Cary Grant's Arsenic & Old Lace needs a restoration and UPgrade

Couldn't figure out how to delete two of the three duplicate images, so now you guys REALLY get my point!

Cary Grant's Arsenic & Old Lace needs a restoration and UPgrade

If that's going to be the cover, then Criterion needs to be reminded that Priscilla Lane was in this movie. Terrible artwork., IMHO. This was perfect. Why re-invent the wheel?

DVD Review The Virginian: The Complete Seventh Season DVD Review

Thanks, Neal. I lurked here a long time before finally registering. Signing up on an Internet forum at this late date seemed a lot like showing up for a New Year's Eve party the following January 2nd (haha), but I eventually did. Anyway, while I'm certainly not claiming that DVD is as good as...

DVD Review The Virginian: The Complete Seventh Season DVD Review

Searched for a general Virginian thread and couldn't find one, but this one will do. I just got the S5 DVD and popped in the Angie Dickinson episode, "Ride To Delphi." I have a few other Virginian season sets, and they generally look miles better than any other Timeless DVDs I have, but this...
