Somewhat high prices and limited selection of titles about a year into the game doesn't mean that the HD formats are never going to "get there". But I'd say players that play both HD formats could be a step in the right direction - so they could call off this stupid gamble.

A better format is better, obviously. Whether or not it's worthwhile to upgrade at this time is up to every single one of us to decide for ourselves - and nothing to quarrel about...

As for my own approach to upgrading: I was and still am a fan of Disney animation. Several years ago (early-middle 90s) I had a number of titles on VHS, but at one point I concluded that the VHS format really wasn't sufficient - and I had at that time really nothing else in particular to compare...

Sounds pretty good - will buy. The Powell & Pressburger team alone is almost good enough reason to buy, IMO.

The Third Man isn't just any movie - at least not to me. Since it's probably in the top five or so of my favourites, I might consider to rebuy.
