He maybe should have called BB.com and talked to customer service. They may have allowed him to return it via mail. It does say at BB.com that mail in returns are doable.

Bluray is recorded in 24p so when it is pulled of the disk there is minimal reprocessing. I don't believe regular DvD's are recorded in 24p, so your going to end up with extra processing to display the image which could lead to artifacts. Also does your tv accept 24p?
My hidef setup consists of a Samsung LN-T4681F LED/LCD, Toshiba A30 HDDVD and PS3. I get my Hidef audio via a Denon 4806CI and the sound is amazing coming out of my Paradigm Studio setup.
Release the big movies that everyone is waiting for now and they will be bought. At the same time people on the edge or wanting to get into BR will see these titles already on the shelf and it may give them that little push.
Everything depends on your room size and wether you were under powering your speakers with the amp stage in your rec'v. If you weren't then adding an external amp is only going to give you more headroom. The sonic characteristics you will hear is that from the type of amp you would be adding.
Ron is there anywhere in your setup(advance wireless settings) that you can pick infrastructure or ad-hoc? From what I've read in your manual, on page Appendix B-1 it has to be in set to infrastructure to connect to wireless network devices. I had to do the same thing with my D-link.
