The last episode of Season 7 was just a brilliant episode: very funny and very creative. The symmetry between the characters George/Amanda on "Seinfeld" and Larry/Cheryl on Curb was amazing, and executed perfectly. The word genius has been applied to Larry David many times and it's apt; you can...
I thought Richard Kind (Cousin Andy) was in great form during The Black Swan episode. I agree with Brian's comments about how funny the black swan attack sequence was, and then the discussion afterward. Subsequent to that, there was a brilliant and hysterical scene where the criminal gang...
I guess I'm the minority here, but I have found Dexter Season 4 to be sub-par at best. The last episode opens up some great new possibilities for the rest of the season, but, up until now, the show has been a somewhat pale imitation of its best years (1 and 2).
For instance, episode 4: the...
Can anybody confirm whether these are the original-length cuts of the episodes or not? One review site noted that the episodes are 19 or 20 minutes long on this DVD set, which doesn't sound quite right.
Yes, they probably re-enacted that (grabbing the idol inside the tree). No big deal. Makes perfect sense and doesn't harm any reality aspect of the show whatsoever.
Russell did say he does not care about the money (he is a multi-millionaire); he did say he wants to win the game, however. I thought the second episode was quite good. Russell appeared more "normal"; he didn't really cause any chaos this time. I also agree that a "narrative" is created...
Ron: What do you mean by "scripted to a small extent"? Do you think the producers manipulate things in the voting such that certain people stay? Something like that?
As far as I'm concerned, Russell is an unfortunate aspect of reality TV these days. That is, in order to gain viewers and create...
Ron: You should be able to drag any file or folder to the dock, but it has to be to the far right side (near the trash icon). The left side is for applications only; the right side is for files and folders. Perhaps you were trying to drag the Documents folder to the left side of the dock?
I generally Command-click links as well, but not always. In any event, the back button should work if one is not using Command-click (tabs). I have noticed recently that this issue is not exclusive to HTF; I have started to see it occuring with other sites as well.
Long-time Mac user here and I'm having the same issue as Daryl. In fact, I can see that (fairly recently) virtually all HTF forum threads open with the "load" symbol constantly spinning in the browser tab. This presumably means that the page is never fully loaded. (That spinning symbol exists as...
