The IMAX run has ended, but I'm seeing a small number of showings this weekend in standard digital auditoriums at my usual theater (Veterans 24 Tampa).

It's playing here in 1.90 Laser IMAX at AMC.

It's going to be showing in IMAX Laser near me. I can't wait to see it again theatrically.

Showtimes for this weekend were finally released today, so it should be just about everywhere by Friday.

It started at 6:18, but I was rushing to get there by 6:00 because of past experiences. When AMC brings back older films (excluding Fathom events), there have been several occassions of the film starting right at show time (2001: a space odyssey and Schinder's List are two that come to mind)...

Seeing The Abyss in a theater again (first time since 1989) was every bit as glorious as I thought it would be. I was worried it might look waxy with lots of DVNR, but the fine detail was very evident throughout. I was very pleased. It certainly sounded better than when I saw it in 1989...

After seeing Godzilla Minus One, I have to admit that I'm not nearly as excited for this as I would've been. The Legendary Pictures version seems so formula compared to what I saw over the weekend. I'm sure I'll still see it, but my enthusiasm has dampened.

I have my ticket to see it in Laser IMAX on 12/4. It's some sort of "IMAX Early Preview". I'm very much anticipating this film. Ever since I heard he was coming out of retirement to make one last film, I've been looking forward to this.

It would get more talk if they actually had a reasonable window so that it would get picked up by AMC, Regal and Cinemark. Apple chose the much better path with Killers Of The Flower Moon.

Have you experienced Dolby Cinema? I'd definitely rank that as a higher quality presentation than the standard IMAX Xenon.
