Win an Onkyo TX-NR1030 9.2 channel Dolby Atmos AV Receiver (Redux)

This receiver would be enough motivation to upgrade from the 5.1 system that seemed so futuristic when I installed it, oh, 15 years ago...the mind reels at the possibilities. Thanks for the opportunity Onkyo & HTF!

Win an Onkyo TX-NR1030 9.2 channel Dolby Atmos AV Receiver

My current Denon has served me well but is getting near to 10 years old now, so have been thinking of upgrading to the Atmos and then moving to 4K video. I've owned Onkyo receivers in the past and been quite happy with them, so would love to have the excuse to upgrade everything else!

Another bump, since I noticed that SonicBlue's website says that they are out of the 4080 model until January. Buy mine for immediate shipment! Happy New Year!

FS: ReplayTV 4000 Model 4080 *new*

My failure to get Spousal Approval is your gain. :frowning: I'm selling a brand new, unopened ReplayTV 4080 from SonicBlue. This is the 80-hour unit with an 80GB hard drive. Send and receive recorded shows from other ReplayTV users over the Internet! You can get the details at Link Removed...

guides or sites for running wiring?

Wayne: I've been lurking on this thread because I'm considering almost the same thing. I just printed out your response -- great stuff! Thanks. My new place was built in 1923, it has plaster walls and a high ceiling (10ft?) If you care to share any other tips, I'm all ears -- even if you...

    re:Dish Network Question

Lyle: Thanks for clarifying the model number, I didn't mean to confuse. Rhett: I don't have experience with switching receivers, since this is my first Dish system. A call to Dish would probably answer that question. Like Lyle said, they are heavily discounting this model. When I was...

    re:Dish Network Question

Another option is the 4922 receiver. It lacks the PVR functions of the 501, but has a TOSlink port, and a UHF remote. You can check it out at AllSat, which is where I got mine.

    ReplayTV 4000. Looks very interesting.

My reaction to the lawsuit was to pre-order a unit. Just because Hollywood sues doesn't mean they're going to win the suit (though things have been going their way so far.) Since the Supreme Court has found "time shifting" to be a fair use in the VCR context, I think SonicBlue has a better...

Sharing one DBS system for 2 flats?

Thanks you guys. Robert: No hard feelings, I am sensitive to the piracy issue as well. Now that we've cleared that up ... This is a multi-story building (2 flats on top of each other on top of a garage) and the attic is accessible but just a crawl space. Its a 1923 building. I'm happy to do...

Sharing one DBS system for 2 flats?

Hi: I am about to close on a two-unit building. My wife and I will move into one unit, and another couple will move into the other unit. I would like to take the opportunity to switch from CATV to satellite for the first time. Looking at the various Dish and DirectTV new customer deals, there...
