Standing up for your rights does pay off sometimes. For future reference, what I have done in situations similar to this is make the salesperson write the details of the purchase on the sales slip that may be in question. It might be a question of included items, as in your case, or maybe...
Three times in the last 1+ weeks I have ordered the Bonus Material disc of the Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid movie from Netflix and received the movie disc instead. Each time, the sleeve had the right title but the disc was wrong. After the first mistake, I placed another one on top of...
Thanks to all for your feedback. This is one of my favorites, and I've held out for this updated version. Although I rent most of the flicks I watch these days, this will be a purchase. Doug
Thanks for the suggestion, Rachael. I may try it to see how it changes the sound, but my observations weren't based on any deficiency in a center image / existence of a hole, if you will. I was simply going around to each speaker to hear what the output levels were and noticed the lack of center...
BTW, the Fleck disc does not have a 2 channel DVD-A presentation. The multi-channel is believable / realistic, though, and it seems to work well for this genre when many instrumentalists are playing. It helps that the visual material included with these discs reinforces placing you in the...

Slightly amusing as it is to hear it once or twice in a game, it's done way too much. Some would think that paying attention to the game would be more worthwhile (though tough it might be in the last week). In any case, I wouldn't approve of any censorship / tainting of the "original theatrical...
Tough decision. Big fan, and the idea of owning these series sounds great, but I'm not sure I'd actually sit down and watch it all. Maybe Game 7's. For those who do purchase, I'm curious if a censor-happy empty suit in DVD production land somehow managed to rub out the infamous "jeers" that...
I would be surprised if the vertical side bars of non-anamorphic widescreen (letterbox) material was not also distorted, assuming you kept the TV in the same aspect ratio mode as with 4:3 material (i.e., not using a zoom or stretch mode). Both material is essentially the same 4:3 ratio, with the...
