I love Mancini's score and some of the effects in the film.

They shot so much behind-the-scenes footage. I'm just wondering when they'll show it. Just like Star Wars, tons of behind-the-scenes material and various makings-of have still yet to surface on DVD.

This Thursday FSM will release the complete scores (includes alternates and source material) to the four Reeve films and Ron Jones's animated series. It's a 8 disc set and the initial batch is 3000 units. Superman CINEMA

The new interviews are pretty good. Would love a commentary track by Roman, though. Faye's absence is duly noted. Does she even do interviews? This is, perhaps, her best work. The transfer is amazing, it looks like it was shot yesterday -- it's that good.

I watched the new SE and I was blown away by the transfer. Perhaps my favourite film of all time.

I'm glad I waited. Shame HBO were so cheap; I wish it was shot in anamorphic.

I believe the original audio on the DVD is still wrong. I can't remember all the details off-hand. I seem to recall that the front channels have no separation. The laserdisc is probably the correct track.

When I watched the Final Cut for the first time on Christmas Day: The opening imagery blew me away. The depth of the bass gave me the shivers. That synergy of vision and sound is something I've rarely witnessed.
