I was able to catch a sneak preview of Star Wars: Clone Wars on Saturday with my kids. Overall I thought the movie was fun and enjoyable on a level of matinee fare. It's not gonna win any awards but does a fine job of furthering the Star Wars universe and building the excitement for the TV show...

I know some sequences in 'Dark Knight' were filmed with IMAX cameras. Due to nature/depth of the film for a first viewing would you recommend seeing it on a big spectacle IMAX screen or a typical sized multiplex theater where it might be a slightly more intimate viewing?

Review/comments: Magnificent. Pixar hits another out of the ballpark and Andrew Stanton and crew deserve a Best Picture nod. The film is just mesmorizing and you can't wait to see what adventure WallE stumbles onto next. While much has been made of the eco-future/consumerism subtext and such...

Finally caught 'The Fountain' on HDDVD last night. Just a hauntingly beautiful film in look. Incredible. The score was also amazing. And Jackman and Weisz were just outstanding with the material.

This point bolsters my opinion that Ellen lied to her daughter about JW as sorta a last ditch effort to get her to drop the boys/monster hunting.

Glad I caught it on Sci-Fi Channel.....

PBS: The animated 'Liberty's Kids.' Can't think of many TV shows I'd rather watch with the kids. Positives all around.

I'd be in line for both sets. I loved how Dark Skies intertwined the UFO mythology with actually US history. It was sorta a grittier 'Taken.' Talk about conspiracy theories!

Did anyone have issues with stupid wrestling (why SCIFI why!) running into the start time of Eureka the past two weeks on Tuesdays? I missed the last few minutes of each episode on my ReplayTV! :frowning:

I'd love to get this fantastic PBS educational series for my kids however it seems only 3 dvds (6 episodes) were released in 2004 and the DVDs are out of print and practically impossible to find. Any news on a rerelease or a box set of the 40+ episodes???

Niam and his following got the short end of the stick...which is why I thought given the removal of his agressor programming and the 'self sacrifice' he made the writers would have that last shot of him floating in space showing his ascension. Woulda been a fantastic ending.

My guess on the delay was in deference to last years release 'The Cave' (Sony) which was very similarly themed and resulted in a box office bomb. Though I enjoyed it on DVD.
