MUBI has a “flash” years subscription sale @ $79 until Tuesday. For those unfamiliar, it’s a streaming service. They specialize in international, independent and award wining films. A pretty good selection if you enjoy those genres.

Great price and fortunately in HD. The Complete Three Stooges - all 190 original shorts - also on sale @ $25. But SD only. For whatever reason, Sony still hasn’t released this in HD even though they remastered all films in HD. What are they waiting on? We need HD digital or no sale.

Blues Brothers 4K is $4.99 in Apple Store. Has anyone bought it there? Because it appears that you have to buy the theatrical and extended versions separately!?! That’s unusual. Are the bonus features the same on each?

Picked up Strange Brew in HD @ $4.99 on Apple TV Store. A classic ridiculous fun movie for me.

And I would also avoid renting movies from them too. I’ve rented movies on Amazon only to find they thought they should censor or edit something for me. Either provide the full movie or just don’t offer it.

Similar situation happened on the recent Mission Impossible box set sale. Finding it was difficult, but eventually found it. It didn’t seem to be this way until the recent Apple TV update which I still haven’t done.

I’m a fan of classic TV and don’t think I ever watched this. But HD and that price, might be a good blind buy.

Well this will certainly add yet another layer of confusion to the general public…. Who are already confused by and don’t know the difference between Apple TV+, Apple TV box, the Apple TV app, the Apple TV app “Store” and now good old fashioned Apple TV+ with commercials.

Apple has the Warner Bros 25-film Award Winners Vol 1 at $19.99 with Unforgiven, Bonnie and Clyde, Ben Hur, Cool Hand Luke, Bullitt and more. A few in 4K. $0.80 each Several I don't want in my collection (Purple Rain) or already own, so I may just get Cool Hand Luke @ $4.99. But a steal...

Not sure. However, it is available in digital HD from Apple TV. And it looks fantastic. Frequently on sale in the $19.99-$29.99 range so probably less than any discs will ever be, and available to be enjoyed now.

The Holdovers 4K with iTunes Extras on Apple TV at $9.99. Way down from $29.99. Maybe it will go lower eventually, but as a big Alexander Payne fan, and not having seen this one yet, I’m buying.
