Well this will certainly add yet another layer of confusion to the general public….
Who are already confused by and don’t know the difference between Apple TV+, Apple TV box, the Apple TV app, the Apple TV app “Store” and now good old fashioned Apple TV+ with commercials.
Apple has the Warner Bros 25-film Award Winners Vol 1 at $19.99 with Unforgiven, Bonnie and Clyde, Ben Hur, Cool Hand Luke, Bullitt and more. A few in 4K. $0.80 each
Several I don't want in my collection (Purple Rain) or already own, so I may just get Cool Hand Luke @ $4.99. But a steal...
Not sure. However, it is available in digital HD from Apple TV. And it looks fantastic. Frequently on sale in the $19.99-$29.99 range so probably less than any discs will ever be, and available to be enjoyed now.
The Holdovers 4K with iTunes Extras on Apple TV at $9.99. Way down from $29.99.
Maybe it will go lower eventually, but as a big Alexander Payne fan, and not having seen this one yet, I’m buying.
I got it too. For $4.99, and having only watched the Quadrilogy Blu-ray once since I bought it, it was a no-brainer. I can't work up a sweat over a movie I may only watch once or maybe 2 or 3 times more in my lifetime. Especially when its 4K. I'm all in on digital and happy to leave behind...
It’s ridiculous to pay for the service then get those stupid promos.
But, instantly quit the promo, it returns to the show’s menu, then play again. The promo won’t play the 2nd time. The show starts immediately.
SD is a no sale then, no matter how good the price. Why isn't this at least available in HD? Frasier, and many other classic series, have been remastered in HD and on Blu-ray. So why are they being sold digitally in SD? Who is paying attention around there?
By the way, while it definitely...
Frasier, the complete series is $19.99 on Apple TV
But can’t determine if It’s 4k like it is on Paramount +. Is the Apple TV box set 4k for all seasons?
Thanks Ron. It is a classic for sure, and I agree I bet you thought I asked “how is the film”. But curious if anyone knows how the digital file looks. It’s been awhile since this came out on Blu-ray and hoping this digital file is a good one. I guess I should just go ahead and get it at...
Network (1976) is $4.99 HD (on Apple / Apple TV / iTunes / Movies / whatever they call it now)
Anyone own this? Is the file good? Would love this to upgrade to 4k.
Many other complete TV sets today at $39.99 or less that haven’t been seen in long while including the Waltons (about $4.50 a season), Veep, and more.
But I noticed that since I haven’t updated my Apple TV box it won’t let me purchase TV series directly. Movies yes, but not TV. I can get them...
Apple didn't seem to have it at first, but season 4 is there now.
However, what I said above about me buying if it was priced fairly.... at $135 + tax for the series, they won't be having many buyers.
Great news. Watched a couple on Hulu, but the commercials ruined it and stopped watching.
Will pick it up if priced fairly. More of these classic series should be available for purchase in HD Digital such as this show, Cheers, Andy Griffith, etc. But there still many other classic series...
Wow. Like I need 14 years of a show I’ve never seen, but from what I’ve heard, I bet it’s a good blind buy and a show I’d enjoy. ?? Not like a soap opera is it?
Picked up Election in 4K along with About Schmidt and Nebraska in HD. Hoping Nebraska upgrades to 4K sometime.
A good sale. Still thinking about some others.
I love my Apple TVs. But reading the backlash and comments, I turned my updates off & haven't installed them.
For those that installed, have you gotten used to the changes? Is it much to do about nothing?
Thanks Gary! Also had Unforgiven but still this was an easy choice. Several 4k. Dirty Harry and Million Dollar Baby aren’t yet but I bet they will be someday.
(Also included is a 13th - a 2.5 hour documentary about Eastwood)
Has anyone clicked "here" to see which titles are affected? Were they movies or just the typical Discovery reality TV series? If they are movies, are they available in your libraries outside Playstation?
