Does region coding work by machine coding or IP address? I purchased my Bluray in the USA, but I'm using it in Bermuda, and for some reason this disc simply will not work. It is my only Bluray giving me trouble *&!@#$!
Those who have quiet home theaters need to be wary of endorsements of PS3 as a bluray player. I utterly regret the advice I took from HT mags and websites, because so few mentioned the fan noise, if at all. This is an utter deal-breaker if you listen in a silent environment.
We need a poll 1. I am using an outboard processor connected via toslink/coax and I do have lipsync problems 2. I am using an outboard processor connected via toslink/coax and I don't have lipsync problems 3. I am using an outboard processor connected via HDMI and I do have lipsync...
I concur. With THD the lip sync is debatable. I don't think I would have noticed it had I not experienced it on DD first, which looks like a 1980's kung fu movie.
Perhaps I am just angered more by it? Lip sync that is noticeable at all is atrocious in my opinion. I hate the idea that I've bought these DVDs a second time, and may find them problematic due to a noticeable sync issue. This just isn't cool. I mean, what are they using to test these discs?
Anyone else experiencing lip syncing problems with The Matrix HD-DVD? I'm using a Toshiba XA1 with the latest firmware, and the problem is atrocious! I doublechecked that the firmware upgrade didn't knock out any other DVDs, and the problem appears to be specific to The Matrix. :-(
I swear, it just cracks me up how Matrix fans are compelled to insult anyone who believes that the 2nd and 3rd films were complete trash. I actually enjoyed the Fountain despite the fact that it is by far DA's worst film. Unlike Matrix 2 and 3, I still see this as very worthy art, and I actually...
This film is like a painting. A beautiful, but mostly incoherent painting. You also need to be aware that the studio pulled the plug and then relit the project. My gut feeling is that this screwed the process up.
I just popped in my SD copy to compare to the HD copy. To be perfectly honest, this is not a system seller. Most people would have a hard time telling what improvements HD is making, and would likely be turned off. Play both discs and see for yourself. 60" screen.
