I had an Onkyo Integra TX-SV909PRO, arguably the first real 'flagship' AVR from any manufacturer...(and I believe the first AVR to include a Toslink input). It was a beautiful thing. I replaced it with a Rotel RSX-1065 last year, and while the Rotel kicks on HT, the 2CH performance is virtually...
So who actually makes these pre/pros for the other two companies. Or does one manufacturer make them for all three? Which one is the best? Are there any differences? For those who own one, why did you pick yours versus the other two? Barry
Has anyone gone ahead and picked up this player? I was all set to purchase the Denon 2900, but its lack of a DVI/HDCP output gives me the feeling that I'm buying a machine that is already out of date. So I can either wait for the 3900 to come out (and even it may not have a DVI output) or pickup...
Wow, someone else besides me who owned an Onkyo 909. I bought mine in Jan 1997 (used), and replaced it with a Rotel 1065 last year. I would reccommend the 1065 to the fullest extent possibe. The 1055 is nice, but it is clearly a compromise from the higher powered 1065. Since you are used to the...
Well, as far as model matching, the lineup is as follows: Onkyo Integra 600 5.3 700 6.3 800 7.3 900 8.3 989V2 9.1 U2 So, you are actually comparing the 2nd best onkyo model to the third best integra model. The integra line was designed by Onkyo to be geared more toward the custom...
Great metropolitan sound at yonge and egglinton features PSB. Satcom Canada Technology at Leslie and Highway 7 has Monitor Audio. I suggest you check these out! Barry
The issue that Onkyo/Integra installed the RJ-45 jack for is Net Tune compatibility. Nettune utilizes the XIVA network for identifying and catagorizing music and then delivering it over IP to XIVA capable receivers. The british company Imerge was the first to implement the XIVA network for...
I use Replay because I absolutely love the Commercial Advance feature and for the fact that it becomes an IP device allowing me to send shows to friends, computers, other Replay's etc... No wonder D&M bought Replay. I think that it is more fun than Tivo, and isn't that what its all about? BTW...
