So THAT's what creates that nauseating floating elements within the picture effect....Thanks for the page! Another process that is probably unnecessary 90% of the time - I like grain!

Those were some very interesting example clips. I had seen things like this before, or in the case of Cabiria, that exact problem, but I had never known what caused it. Thanks for the information!
