Music - this one's been getting hot lately
After Hours - see who is hanging out
Computers - probably the most overlooked area. Great source of help/advice/tips from Rob Gillespie, Kimmo, etc.
TV - look for tweaks/tips
DBS / Satellite - a few die-hards hang there
Hardware - see what's new

I like to get "a feel" of the mood on the forum and I check out after hours. Then music, hardware, polls and feedback once in a while
