TV/Direct tv/home theater/PS4 hookup with optical audio cable (1 Viewer)

Not sure what you mean by “correct connection arrangement.” And there is no indication in your post if you’re trying to connect the PS4 to the TV or the home theater system. Regardless, there isn’t much to this, just connect the PS4 to whatever you want to plug it into with the appropriate cable. Seems painfully obvious, so maybe I’m missing something… ?

Im saying that i want to have my direct tv and my ps4 audio coming through the home theater system without have to take my optic audio cable and switching it back and forth from direct tv receiver and the ps4. Is there some way to not have to do this. sorry for my lack of knowledge
