Once a pop culture phenomenon, the now-beleagured series returned last night for its final, abbreviated season. And judging from the overnight numbers, not many people cared.
I thought the first hour was an unfortunate continuation of the less-interesting episodes of the previous season. But when they rounded up the old gang back in Lima for hour 2, I was pleasantly surprised by how much of the old magic returned. The sequence based on A-ha's "Take on Me" was particularly inspired, and the McKinley Tea Party club was hilarious (and this is coming from a Conservative).
I also found the new kids to be more interesting after one show than Marley-Jake-Ryder were after a full season.
Thought I would start this topic in case I'm not the only 'Glee' fan left.
