Tonight I noticed my sub woofer is silent. Its Yamaha YST-SW315, 80 watts. The standby green light is off. I don't know if it should be lighted only if there is signal from the Receiver. I checked the power and move it to another outlet. Power is O.K. Checked the connection to the receiver and it is well connected. Is there a fuse in this speaker? Receiver is Pioneer VSX-1019AH. It is 3 years old but used maybe once a week for 2 hrs. PLEASE HELP.

Have you tried to toggle the auto on switch in the back to see that makes any difference? Put it to always on if there is that option ans see if that helps. If not it sounds like an issue with the electronics of the sub. You might want to get yamaha tech support on the line to see if they have any ideas.

Take the amp out and check to see if the driver leads fell off.Very common on budget subs that non-locking slide pins were used.

There is only one switch at the side, On and Off. I toggle it many times and nothing happens. I might open the box after contacting Yamaha to see what they say. The connection at the AVR is tight. I remove it and put it back to see how tight it is.
