I wonder if it has the Sensurround LFE track?

Every review I've read about the previous releases of Earthquake have said that the Sensurround tracks only included the signal trigger tones and not the actual rumbles effects. I'm not sure if this will be any different.

According to the Amazon specifications, the audio tracks are full-blown 5.1 DTS-MA-HD with a subwoofer channel...whoo-hoo!!!

Steve,

First, good to see that avatar picture back again. I missed it.

Sorry for not posting the complete details of this release. We are
having formatting issues at the moment that prevent some press
releases from posting.

Here is the information you seek, and unfortunately, it does not seem to be included:

English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1

EDIT: The reply above mine seems to indicate otherwise but I am
simply giving you the information from Universal's site. Let's hope
Amazon information is correct.

Well, a DTS-HD MA 5.1 track could work as long as the .1 track includes the earthquake rumbles.

Nothing will replace the experience of seeing this original run in a theater with the gigantic Sensurround speakers in the back of the auditorium.

This is great news, hopefully it will be a stellar blu-ray. Now I want Airport '75 on blu; I know it's not a great movie by any means, but I have fond memories of seeing it with Earthquake as a double feature at the drive-in. My dad took me and my brothers and it was a really fun, male bonding night.

I never did pick this one up, only having seen it on VHS. Sadly it's Universal so I'll be waiting for an HTF review before I get too excited.

It's a cheesy movie but so much fun.

One of my favorites of the disaster genre.

It's a big budget soap opera.

Saw this down the shore in Wildwood NJ and it was a blast.

Is the Earthquake ride still in Orlando?

It's a big budget soap opera.

I remember my Dad laughing at Ava Gardner's histrionics in the first scenes with Charlton Heston.

Saw EARTHQUAKE in it's original release in a Showcase theater in Orange, CT that advertised it being in Sensurround. Quite an experience.

Years later, when it was first on broadcast TV, I watched it (cropped of course) and it was available with an FM stereo simulcast. They made a big deal about it in the newspaper and TV ads. I think that was my first "home theater experience".

I too remember seeing this in Sensurround. I think my date's hysterics during that opening scene out did Miss Gardner's, so there was not a second date.

For a brain numbing experience, look at that original poster art, then scroll back to the Blu-ray cover art in the first post.

The poster art is simply wonderful. I well remember the vivid Sensurround experience.

I actually bought the soundtrack LP for the express purpose of having that artwork. The side benefit was gaining a huge appreciation for John Williams, a year before JAWS made him a legend. That score still gets a play in my house now and then. It was on CD very briefly.
