I've seen it before and I always thought that it's possibly normal but I am getting curious now. When I watch a BluRay movie, I see these extremely small red and green dots flying across the entire screen. Sitting at about 6 feet away you won't see them, but if you look at it from 1 foot away, it's definitely visible. The dots are about as big as one pixel. I use a PN51D8000 on a Sony S580. Currently my BluRay Player is connected via HDMI DIRECTLY to the TV. I use Monoprice Hi-Speed HDMI cables. Thanks. Ray

Well, I'm being told that those dots are normal. They aren't really visible from my seating position, I was just curious if I may have had a defective cable or anything similar. This effect is called "dithering" Ray
