Have been enjoying the reruns of Threes Company on TV Land recently and know that all the seasons are available separately...........

I just never got around to picking them up.

Has anyone heard if they were going to release a complete box set of this show?

Most other tv shows get a complete set release after all the seasons are out but haven't seen/heard about this yet?

Thanks,

Maxx

I don't think you're going to be in luck unfortunately. It's my understanding that Anchor Bay only had a short window of opportunity on the 3's Company dvd rights. I think it may have expired; however they are still able to sell existing copies. (This is my belief, I don't know for sure if their lease is over). I have seen 3's Company offered as a bundle of all 8 seasons, though not recently. I think it was at Fry's? Maybe? Your best bet is simply to track down the individual season sets.

Last week here in Canada, Cinema 1 was selling all 8 seasons for $14.99 apiece. Unsure if that is still the case though. All 9 seasons of 'Roseanne' were sold for the same price in which I completed the series by buying seasons 8 and 9.

Quick question for 3's company owners - do any of the season sets contains bonus features? Commentaries? Anything beside the episodes?

Sure, they do. I only own two seasons at the moment, but included amongst the extras of those two seasons are both of the original unaired pilot episodes (one without Suzanne and the other one without both Suzanne and Joyce).

Some of the other episodes have what I would consider useless stuff ("best of INSERT CHARACTER'S NAME" which are just clip montages), but the extras above are worthy. One of the other early sets (season 2 or 3) has a "tribute to John Ritter" as a bonus. Someone else could fill you in better on specifics.

Interviews with surviving cast and crew, such as Joyce DeWitt, Richard Kline, Jenilee Harrison, seasons 3-6 have at least one audio commentary per box set, usually by Chris Mann, author of "Come And Knock on Our Door", season 6 lists that Three's Company special hosted by Lucille Ball as an extra...

They're not loaded with extras, but what extras there are are interesting.

All of the sets have interviews and behind the scenes and special features. Best Buy has all seasons on sale for $19.99 this week ... ehehehe ....

Well did a search & found this thread. Thought I'd bring it up since I just made a "Black Friday" purchase of the box set of Three's Company, The Complete Series. Did this because the price on this set just dropped $22 on Amazon (I'm thinking a BF special of some sort). A couple others in my Amazon watch list also fell in price, though not as much.

The earlier prices were around $72. I got it for $49.96. (UPDATE: its back up to $67 now).

Been wanting to get this series ever since we sadly lost John Ritter back in 2003. Even sadder is that he was staging a comeback in what was shaping up to be a major hit series, 8 Simple Rules For Dating My Daughter.

Oh and I grew up on Three's Company during my latter teen years.

Any insights into this set from those who already own it would be appreciated.

I have debated getting this box set every time it goes on sale. Ultimately it comes down to the fact I like the first three seasons best and already own those. While I'd eventually like to have the whole series, other titles wind up taking priority.

Really glad I caught that $49.96 sale price on Amazon now. Current price is now up to $89.99.

I'm glad that the complete series for shows like this, or the complete Three Stooges box are so far removed from the original single set releases, or I'd be really pissed off at the dirt cheap prices.

But the dirt cheap prices don't hurt so bad after 10 years. ;)

Anyway... they didn't put Jenilee Harrison on the complete box? That's odd. She's the only major cast member not represented, unless you count Larry or Lana. She was represented on the S6 set, at least, but not S5.

Oh, man, it's tempting to get it, but I have so much other stuff that I need to watch,
