The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

Wow, is that the extended version of Dune at BB for five bucks?

I never found one used (ever) and finally caved in and bought a new one for $20 about a year ago.

The extended cut is basically a whole new movie, minus a few bits of gore and with new scenes inserted in odd places unfortunately.

Anyway, this is well worth $5 for most movie/sci-fi fans.

I'm going to have to get She Done Him Wrong.

And for only ten bucks at BB.

Just an idea... I bought a couple of DVD's from Best Buy online where they pulled them and held them at the store the same day. I basically picked them up in an hour. I have not tried CC's site, but you may see if they can do that so your copy will still be there.

I don't know if they still have it, but CC used to have a "24 minute guarantee" for their online/in-store pickup... Even better than the BB program, IMO.

The online ad for Best Buy also shows the Blade Runner 5 Disc for $24.99 so if you strike out at Circus City you could try there. No in store pick up for me so ordered it for delivery.

Is "The Black Book" that Paul Verhoeven Holocaust drama? If so, this may qualify as the most bizarre double feature match-up ever.

Unfortunately it's more conventional than that - the movie is "Little Black Book" starring Brittany Murphy.

I REALLY wanted to see Cloverfield in the theatre, but never got around to it. Definitely renting it...but that's all for this week.

BTW, I saw an ad for Kmart and they are offering an exclusive "monster ringtone" with Cloverfield, but I can't remember the price. ($19.99?)

Score! Posted Image Got the last one...but got one! Figured I'd try to price-match at BB if I came up empty. Didn't have to. I hate to admit this...but this is blind buy for me. I've heard so much about it, I'm really looking forward to it!

She Done Him Wrong also features the "Why don't you come up and see me?" line from Mae to Cary. Her entire end of that dialogue is pretty suggestive/racy stuff.

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself.Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

For those of you in Canada, Future Shop has a Steel book case for Cloverfield
"I can't marry all three of them - thats bigamy!"
"No, thats big o' me!"

Magic armour is good but it tends to lose its magic without warning. Many an ancient lords last words had been " You can't kill me because I've got magic AARRGG!"

Mike,
Clear out an evening for watching Blade Runner. It's really dense with plot points and you don't want any interruptions.

She Done Him Wrong contains most of the most famous Mae West double-entendres, except for the "goodness had nothing to do with it, dearie" line. Probably no other film of that time has so many lines still quoted today. Posted Image
