The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

The Specials

**BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL! Stay Alive is available in both OAR (Director’s Cut)and MAR (Theatrical) versions...get the correct one!

--I am still unsure of my efficiencies in finding and pricing the various HD & Blu-Ray release each week. Be forewarned. It seems like in-store prices at Best Buy and Circuit City are coming in cheaper than the prices as reported on-line.

--Amazon.com is having a special offer on Blu-Ray & HD-DVD discs: Save an additional 10% on all of your Blu-ray & HD-DVD Disc purchases for the next year. Purchase three Blu-ray or HD-DVD Discs right now, and you'll automatically qualify to receive an additional 10% off all of your high-definition DVD purchases for one year. I've been saving my BB RZ dollars for the Gilmore Girls 6 set. I was hoping it would hit at $35, but I guess $40 is not so bad -- I'll end up getting it for $20 + tax. And I'll have a week to catch up before season 7 starts. Lots of other stuff I want, but money is tight, so I am holding off. Hopefully, I'll catch up at the next DDD sale. Thanks for the round-up, fellas!

This disc is also being packaged inside BB's 'Classic Sci-fi Ultimate Edition'. Also, as I mentioned in another thread, these sets are already on most shelves. Since each store is only getting a few, you may want to check early.

Isn't Grease 2 going to be $4.99 at BB too? Also, I think there is a new cover for Grease 2 to match the new edition of the first film (without the leather jacket though.)

Does anyone have any info on the Mr. Roberts version being released on the 19th? I can't find anything about a unique edition; is this just coming back into print or something?

Mister Roberts is the same transfer put into a keepcase along with some other Fonda films in a Fonda Signature Collection. It's been exclusive to Costco for several months. Newhart S4 has been out for awhile at least a couple of retailers locally. Sam's Club has it for $19.xx

I wonder what the program includes on that Blind Faith DVD... The DVD has been out in the UK and comments on the UK Amazon site say the concert is only 40 minutes long and is just a rehash of their one album. For the benefit of the younger members, Blind Faith members were Eric Clapton, Stevie Windwood, Ginger Baker, and Rick Grech, so the band didn't fail for lack of talent.

I had forgotten that Season 4 of Bob Newhart was coming out. I'll be getting this. What's the deal with Mr. Roberts. This was release several years ago. Is this another case where the ownership has changed hands and is being re-released?
