Hmmm I've seen far fewer films than I expected from the director of the greatest Hollywood movie of all time. But than he hadn't made all that many films post-sound, Fleming died of a heart attack in 1949 aged 60.

The Apartment's hardly the greatest Hollywood film of all time George, a good time-passer at best (ooh).
Some Like it Hot on the other hand is definitely up there.

That's one star more than I expected Bill, but you did like Jekyll and Hyde.

Yes, but the Frederic March version is better!

I like that a lot too, but I grew up with the Spencer Tracy version. March was a bit too ape-like, though he did win an Oscar for it. Tracy was a lot more subtle and believable as the evil Hyde. There's a funny story I read somewhere, where a visitor to the set seeing Spencer Tracy at work remarked "Which part is he playing now?".

I'm not sure where you see that. I definitely do not own it. The only Fleming dvd I own is The Wizard of Oz.

Alright keep your hair on guv'nor, I honestly didn't know until this thread that owning Gone With the Wind or admitting to owning Gone With the Wind is not a cool thing for any self-respecting film buff to do.

There's nothing wrong with owning Gone with the Wind if you like it, but there's definitely something wrong with the information that I own it, and I just didn't know where you were getting that information from.
